Megan is a Senior APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist at Bounce Health Group. She has completed post grad qualifications with a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.
Her original interest in Sports Physio became apparent when she sort physio treatment during her youth as a high level Gymnast, going on to be a Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach until she qualified as a Physio.
Megan has worked in professional sport for a number of years, most recently spending the last 9 years working with Cricketers. She has been the lead State Female High Performance Physiotherapist for Cricket Victoria where she was the Team Physio for the Victorian Women’s Team and the Melbourne Stars WBBL Team. Prior to this she was the Women’s Program Physiotherapist at Cricket Australia where she was the team Physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Cricket Team. These roles have taken her across Australia and all over the world with highly successful teams coming runners up in the WNCL (Women’s National Cricket League) and WBBL (Women’s Big Bash League) as well as winning 3 consecutive World Cups as well as the Women’s Ashes.
Megan has experience as a Tournament Physiotherapist for Tennis Australia working with professional tennis players on the junior and professional circuits, and has previously worked as a Physiotherapist at Grand Slam level at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Along with Gymnastics, Cricket & Tennis, Megan has a vast array of sports experience including Basketball (WNBL, SEABL, State teams), AFL Football (Hawthorn FC, TAC cup, various EFL teams), AIS gymnastics & Paralympic teams, and Commonwealth Games (Table tennis, Badminton, Squash & Boxing). She has also had roles with Basketball Victoria & Gymnastics Victoria as their head physio overseeing their programs & coordinating state physios.
As well as treating the sporting athlete, her clinical interests involve the management of post operative and pre/post natal patients where she takes particular pleasure in assisting her patients to achieve their optimum level of function and recovery. She also has a keen interest in managing sporting finger and hand injuries including sprains, dislocations and fractures and can make thermoplastic splints.
