What is TeleHealth?
TeleHealth allows practitioners to provide ongoing advice, treatment and exercise programs online to patients in the comfort and safety of their own environment.

What program do you use and how should I prepare for my TeleHealth appointment?
We use the video conferencing program Zoom for our TeleHealth consultations. Zoom is available for free and we recommend that you create a free account on the Zoom website https://zoom.us/
If you forget to do this, don't worry you'll be emailed a link to access Zoom and can download the program prior to your appointment. It's that easy.
Can I access Zoom on my smart phone?
Yes, you can access Zoom on your smart phone. Zoom is available for download through the app store. Although we do recommend you use a laptop or computer for TeleHealth consultations as it provides a suitable size screen to ensure you get the most out of your consultation.
How do I process payment for my consult?
One of our reception staff will contact you 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment, to check you're ready for your consultation and will process your payment over the phone.
Can I claim under my Private Health extras cover for TeleHealth consultation?
From April 14th 2020 several funds have agreed to fund TeleHealth consultations, subject to each individual funds criteria. In the meantime we will be providing a discounted rate for TeleHealth consultations.
We would recommend contacting your private health provider to better understand the new TeleHealth arrangement and if you qualify for TeleHealth rebates.

Will WorkCover, TAC or NDIS cover my TeleHealth consultation fee?
Yes, WorkCover have released temporary TeleHealth service codes in response to COVID-19, to assist injured workers accessing essential health care services.
NDIS agreements will remain in place and we will email invoices to Plan Managers. For Self-Managed NDIS patients, reception will contact you to process your payment over the phone prior to your TeleHealth consultation.
Unfortunately TAC does not cover TeleHealth consultations.
What about Medicare & DVA?
In response to COVID-19 Medicare have released temporary TeleHealth codes for some services and conditions. Please speak to reception to confirm if Medicare or DVA rebates will be available for your consultation.

What conditions are suitable for TeleHealth consultations?
Most consultations will be suitable for TeleHealth. If you are uncertain please call the clinic and talk to one of our health professionals to determine the requirement for a TeleHealth consultation.
How do I book a TeleHealth consultation?
TeleHealth consultations can be made online or by calling reception on 1300 855 442. Once your appointment has been confirmed you will be email details on how to prepare for your upcoming Zoom appointment. Please ensure you provide your preferred email address.
Is there anything else I should consider before my TeleHealth consultation?
We recommend wearing appropriate clothing such as shorts, as well as making sure you have adequate space to perform exercises.
We also recommend checking the settings on your computer. In particular that the audio settings are enabled so speaker and microphone are ON and set to the laptop or computers systems.
